Job description, a fast-growing and successful e-commerce company, is looking for a new Category Manager to join our Merchandising Team and oversee our Heating category. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the designated category strategies. 

This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin)

Salary: $80,000-110,000 (Annually)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET. However, we provide flexibility based on local time zones and our Flex-Time Policy.


  • Craft category strategies: Leverage industry trends, product assortments, and strategic positioning in collaboration with cross-functional partners to drive substantial revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities: Spearhead the launch of innovative new products and brands that seamlessly align with our dynamic category strategy, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.
  • Conduct market research: Gain deep understanding of designated product types, develop product roadmaps and conduct ROI analysis to fuel data-driven decision-making and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Innovate sales strategies: Drive exponential growth, leveraging first-to-market ideas and strategic e-commerce product positions to dominate the market.
  • Engage with our customers: Gather insights and leverage data to enhance product offerings and customer experience.


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred concentrations in Business Management, Merchandising, Engineering, or Marketing) 
  • 5-7 years of experience in Merchandising and product development (technical ability in the Heating industry is preferred)
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and retail systems  
  • Experience in leading remote team members
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Critical and creative thinking skills working in an everchanging environment
  • Statistical analysis and data manipulation skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while remaining flexible in a high growth environment
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting
