*THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION, HOWEVER STRONG PREFERENCE FOR CANDIDATES LOCATED IN THE ATLANTA, CHICAGO, NYC METRO AND/OR CALIFORNIA.  

MINIMUM BASE SALARY: $215,000 

The Value of this Position

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the performance of Embroker’s direct and indirect sales and customer success organizations. This role is responsible for driving revenue, profitability and growth through both direct to consumer sales, as well as key partner agencies and the development of new agency relationships. This role will have direct day-to-day oversight of the entire sales and customer success teams.

Job Duties

  • Manage and maximize overall revenue, profitability, growth and retention of Embroker’s sales and customer success organization.
  • Responsible for prospecting and appointment of agents to build a strong distribution channel.
  • Provide leadership to independent agency partners through coaching, feedback, development goals, and performance management
  • Be a subject matter expert for the Embroker suite of products. 
  • Manage and interface with management to develop or enhance the marketing of Embrokers suite of products. 
  • Act as a liaison between the independent agent and Embroker companies
  • Work with other departments at Embroker to further the relationship, identify potential new agency partners, and assess a new business opportunity
  • Answer presale product questions and assist agents in providing solutions to their customers as needed
  • Tracking of marketing and sales interactions
  • Keep in touch with new developments in the insurance market through membership organizations, conventions, and insurance agency partners.
  • Represent the applicable territory/program in meetings and speak to performance, program/promotion results, and current initiatives
  • Assist with internal marketing efforts designed to increase sales
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of Commercial Lines sales, marketing, and customer success experience
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically knows property insurance
  • Reputation for being a strong mentor, developer and attractor of talent. Followership; Strong cross-functional team skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with management and agency partners
  • Proven history of building and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to think strategically and come up with proactive ideas to increase sales
  • Entrepreneurial-minded, passionate about the cannabis industry, motivated, and a self-starter
  • Creates a culture of accountability to ensure delivering world-class products and services.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing company or start-up environment. A self-starter who digs in with urgency, exercises discretion and independent/sound judgment, while excelling in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, results oriented environment.
