This well-known app for brands, retailers, and consumers is looking for an experienced Data Scientist (m/f) who is, like them, passionate about delivering the best product and user experience to our customers. As a key member of their cross-functional and agile team setup, you will leverage your skills and ability to extract valuable insights from various data sets. You will work with a variety of challenges that touch all parts of the business. Their goal is to design a better product that customers will love, enabling them to get meaningful data for them to make the most accurate decisions.

Role

• Identify the best state-of-the-art algorithms and libraries to solve complex problems.
• Ad-hoc data analysis to answer critical business questions and to identify potential growth and development opportunities.
• Enriching the company’s data with third-party information when needed.
• Improving data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building better analytic systems.
• Collaborate and contribute to functional, cross-functional groups, initiatives on methodologies, innovations, technology, IT infrastructure, etc. to enable broader and more effective use of data.
• Improve our internal data science tools and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python
• 3+ years of prior experience in a Data Scientist role including statistical modelling, simulation and analysis, machine learning algorithms like predictions, recommendations, object recognition
• Good knowledge and experience in image recognition, text extraction algorithms 
• Good knowledge of libraries like Pandas, PuLP, Matplotlib, seaborn, scikit-learn
• Experience working with Linear Programming and Mixed-Integer Linear Programming
• Experience with TensorFlow 2
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Comfortable with Data Engineering skills
• Good knowledge of AWS Services like EC2, S3, Data Pipeline
• Basic knowledge of third-party API integration to read data from external sources
• Experience in executing data science projects

Personal skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to explain complex effects and impacts of ML/DL insights in simple business terms
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, and ability to operate independently
